Tips Tuesdays!

As Salaamu Alaikunna, good morning ladies. How much money do you spend on household cleaning products? Quick guess, more than we need to! I am back once again to share with you a few things that you already have in your home to take care of most of your household needs. So grab your pens and notebooks and get ready to take some notes, because this one is a winner!

Toothpaste!

1. Removes stains on cloth

To take out all kinds of stain like ink or lipstick. Squeeze some on the spot, scrub and rinse.

2. Cleans diamond ring
Just squeeze a little on a used toothbrush, wet the ring, scrub gently, rinse and your diamond ring should look sparkling new.

Before

After (I really cleaned them)

3. Removes crayon from painted walls

 I personally wrote on walls
to prove it!
Rub the marks with the toothpaste and a damp rag. Wipe with water to get rid of residue.

After, it really works!

4. Remove carpet stains
Squeeze some onto the carpet, scrub, rinse and let it dry.

5. Clean around the bathroom
Use it to clean shower doors and rings around the bath tub. It has an abrasive so that is why it works good.

6. Deodorize smelly hands
Wash your hands with a dab of toothpaste and it will remove smells like onions and other unpleasant odors.

7. Remove scratches on glassware
Polish with a squeeze of toothpaste. Your glassware should be shining in no time.

8. Remove water marks from furniture
To get rid of those telltale watermark rings left by sweating beverages, gently rub some non-gel toothpaste on the wood with a soft cloth.

9. Pest control (for all you gardeners out there this one is for you)
The polishing ingredient in toothpaste is diatomaceous earth- a white powder which is actually the tiny spiky calcium skeletons of diatoms, tiny sea creatures that died millennia ago. The tiny calcium spikes are harmless to us and our pets, but mess up crawling insects, so sprinkle a little around your flower and vegetable gardens.

Toothpaste not the gel kind had the same abrasive qualities as Baking Soda which is why you can use it to clean most of the same things. We all have our favorite cleaning products or remedies that we use, but if you ever run out of that spic and span and can't get to the store right away look in your bathroom vanity and pull out that toothpaste and enjoy the benefits. Until next time on "Tips Tuesdays" enjoy the tip and as always "Enjoy you day"!
